Blue Heron Skilled Nursing Services is a privately held Professional Service Corporation that operates independently of Medicare or Medicaid. Clients pay out of pocket for our services. Each situation is unique and evaluated based on frequency and time. We bill per visit or in fifteen minute increments depending on the type of work. Some long term care insurance companies cover a registered nurse's services in the home. Some do not. We will work with them if able. Blue Heron Skilled Nursing also works with some clients that receive state waiver provided caregiver/nursing services.

Blue Heron Skilled Nursing is the only company in East Jefferson County that provides long-term, in-home nursing care. Heather Frank, RN has fourteen years of nursing experience, including eight years in a multitude of bed-side settings and six years as an in-home nurse specialist which is her true calling. She is attentive to detail, professional and caring. She is well connected to and knowledgeable of the local social and health care resources and will go the extra mile to advocate for her clients.
